She sits by herself
Late at night
Empty bottles there
By her side
She doesn’t know why she comes
Back to this place
She guesses she just feels like
It’s her saving disgrace
Sometimes it’s rainin’
And the sun’s shinin’ too
But she won’t see it both ways
She just begs,
“Please, let me come back to you”
She paints a picture
In her mind
But if a picture says a thousand words
Those words make her cry
She believes in yesterday
It helps her feel well
She guesses she’s mainly just scared
Of tomorrow’s hell
Sometimes it’s rainin’
And the sun’s shinin’ too
But she won’t see it both ways
She just begs,
“Please, let me come back to you”
She sees a rainbow
But she looks down
‘Cause she mainly thinks
That it is God’s frown
She only wants him back
‘Cause she’s afraid
Of going further down, down, down
Sometimes it’s rainin’
And the sun’s shinin’ too
But she won’t see it both ways
She just begs,
“Please, let me come back to you”
